CHALLENGE® Composite Fabrics
These composites are made of aramid fibers and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) films. The PTFE is applied as a cast film providing an extremely uniform protective layer with extraordinary resistance to a broad range of chemicals and live agents resulting in a composite that is essentially chemically impermeable.
The material is easily decontaminable and offers other valuable properties, including static dissipation, low flammability and high/low operating temperature range. The aramid (NOMEX® and Kevlar) substrates are tear resistant, highly flexible, and lightweight.
CHALLENGE ULTRAPRO® Splash
Challenge Ultrapro Splash chemical protective fabric is a 3-layer composite with 2 barrier films. It is used in Level B protective clothing for chemical/biological environments.
CHALLENGE® ULTRAPRO® Vapor
Challenge Ultrapro Vapor chemical protective fabric is a 5-layer composite with 3 barrier films. The composite has an integral indicator (orange) highlighting areas of excessive wear.
CHALLENGE® X-22
Challenge X-22 chemical protective fabric is a 3-layer composite with 2 barrier films.
